“What could you do better for your children and your children’s children than to record the story of your life, your triumph over adversity, your recovery after a fall, your progress when all seemed black, your rejoicing when you had finally achieved? Some of what you write may be humdrum dates and places, but there will also be rich passages that will be quoted by your posterity.”

I will honor Christmas in my heart, and try to keep it all the year.

Since my Mom passed away I have decided to carry on her (and my Dad's) tradition of our annual Christmas Eve Pajama Party!  The little kids have always enjoyed it (and hopefully big kids too), that is the one time during the crazy year that we can count on having the entire family together!  It has been a great tradition to carry on and who knows... hopefully I can pass the torch on to my kids!  Papa plays Santa, the kids (and adults) sit on his lap and get a present from him.  Christmas morning is the most exciting time, we open our presents enjoy some hot chocolate and cinnamon rolls and reflect!  We always are so excited to go up north to spend time with the Johnston Family on Christmas day!  Family is for sure the most important thing in life, I am so grateful to have the Johnston Family, my Dad, five older brothers and their wives and of course my darling nieces and nephews!  Merry, Merry!

  1. That was such a fun Christmas Eve Party! I am so happy that you help carry on the tradition of everyone getting together to celebrate Christmas in our pj's!! Also, the wonderful tradition of "white elephant". I have such fun memories of everyone playing this fun game :) Can't wait for next year!!!
